In this stream (of consciousness) in preparation to hunt down a defect in Iron’s new 3D Menu System, I recount Iron’s history of menu systems — that failed to meet standards. I do manage to dig up a very ancient screenshots. Crazy.

And then there’s a monologue about what the new system needs to accomplish: use of a file format and grammar that is accessible to Iron users so they can customize the menus, create new ones, change up contexts and bindings.
